Mickey’s Toontown Fair

This land appeals mainly to younger children. Here, Mickey’s and Minnie’s houses await, with the opportunity to be photographed with Mickey himself. Both houses are walk-through attractions but Mickey’s is actually a queuing area for the Judge’s Tent where you can meet Mickey Mouse “in the flesh.”

Toontown Hall of Fame Tent provides an alternative character encounter, but the lines for its three entrances can move very slowly.
The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm is the only “thrill” ride as such, but hardly lives up to its name. Donald’s Boat, a playground and fountain, offers further opportunities for the very young to have a whale of a time getting wet. Walt Disney World® Railroad is a real steam train with stops that include Mickey’s Toontown Fair.

SHOPPING
There are shops everywhere in the Magic Kingdom and they sell just about every type of clothing, confectionery – except chewing gum! – and badged merchandise imaginable. All Lands have their own shops selling items based on the theme of the Land and on the nearest ride. Much piratical memorabilia can be purchased near Pirates of the Caribbean, for instance. Do your shopping on your way out so that you don’t have to carry your purchases around with you all day.

TOP TIPS

• Usually the last entertainment of the evening, the fireworks are best viewed near the exit of Magic Kingdom.

• This vantage spot also allows easy exit from the park and you will be among the first few guests to use the Disney transportation back to your hotel or the parking lot.

• By the end of the evening, the monorail back to the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC) is usually packed. Avoid the crowds by taking the other, longer, monorail route, marked “Resorts.”
